A New
United

Church
is born...
On October 16th the Living Way Church held its Constituting Conference with District Superintendent Rev. Morris Matthis presiding.. This means that our congregation has moved from the status of Mission Church to the United Methodist Church. The last six years has been an exciting journey toward this wonderful goal. God has so very many things in store for our small group of faithful disciples. There are many wonderful events still in store for us just in the few remaining months of this year. What a blessing!

A New Day Care
So many people in the area of Caney Creek High School find themselves in a predicament. Single Parent homes with low income is a very difficult situation indeed. Living Way Church will soon provide a way to help. Over the last year we have been busy building a new Day Care Facility that we hope will be part of the solution. Our goal will be to offer child care at very low cost based upon income.
Jesus cares about children and families. Our Savior showed us that God is a loving Father who desires to be present in the lives of each individual. Because of the sacrifice of our Lord all who receive Him are given the right to be children of the Most High God. Every individual is of sacred worth and Jesus is the light that enlightens every person who is born into this fallen world. Children and families are a priority at Living Way. Watch for more exciting news about our day care. It is coming soon

Living Way Food Drive
In Full Swing
In these difficult economic times more and more people are finding themselves unable to meet even the most basic needs of life. One of the key ingredients to the newness of life brought about by a relationship with Jesus is compassion. Christians are compelled to care for the poor , the widow, and the orphan, because this reflects the love that God has poured into our hearts through mercy. The Lord Jesus told us that when we feed those who are hungry we are in fact feeding the Lord Himself. Although the need is great and our congregationm is small our goal is to help whenever and wherever we can. On October the 1st our congregation began a food drive that will continue until December. Our goal will be to fill up our local food pantry and to then send any excess to the Montgomery County Food Bank. Sharing makes us feel better about ourselves and makes the world a kinder gentler place. Think about the hungry people of our world the next time you go to the grocery store and buy extra non-perishable items to share... God will bless you.
