9.3 miles east of Interstate 45 just south of Conroe Texas in Montgomery County a wonderfully strange building on the corner of Highway 242 and Old Houston Road. Area residents refer to it as the "Hershey Kiss" church, but from the outside it looks like no other church you have seen. However, within the walls of this strange looking building there is a worshiping body of believers known as Living Way. The name is taken from Hebrews 10:9 which indicates that Jesus inaugurated a new and living way into the sanctuary of God through the sacrifice He made on the cross. From the moment you enter these doors you will sense that something is different. A Risen Savior walks these halls and those who enter with open hearts are healed, delivered, strengthened, or restored. God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Our mission as the Body of Christ here is to be obedient to the call of the great commission... to go into all the world and make disciples
Living Way United Methodist Church is about people. People who love, laugh, worship, study, cry, rejoice, struggle, win, lose, plan, dream, work, play, give, receive, walk, run, grow, fail, dance, eat, sleep, all under the banner of God's love. Church is an creation of Jesus. He said that He would build His church upon the confession of His Lordship. Above all else the people of Living Way Church believe in a Risen Savior who has given Holy Spirit, the promise of Heaven, as a free gift to humanity. Whomsoever receives this gift of grace becomes a new creature... a unique combination of a human who has within themselves the Christ. The Apostle Paul described it this way, "Christ in you... the hope of glory..." Glory, the manifestation of God's Kingdom. With this new gift we now have the power to overcome (if we will) the death that is within us from birth. The death brought about sin that separates us from the Creator. We are talking Resurrection Life! The good news of Jesus is just too amazing to comprehend, and yet for over 2,000 years disciples of Jesus have testified of this truth within themselves. So Living Way is ABOUT Jesus the incarnation of God who intimately, actually, amazingly is at work here in this small community of believers. Isn't it ABOUT time to investigate for yourself?
