Pentecost SundayHappy birthday Church! Close to two thousand years ago the Wind of God blew among one hundred twenty faithful disciples of Jesus changing everything. For the previous fifty days the risen Lord had been with them preparing them for this new paradigm... the power and authority of a promised gift from heaven. As those early disciples received this gift they poured out into the streets of Jerusalem with such a joy that the people of the neighborhood thought they were drunk. Who rejoices so early in the morning? The power of the Holy Spirit was then demonstrated as Peter preached a sermon that brings three thousand souls into the Kingdom.

The Comforter, the Paraclete, the Promised Gift, Holy Spirit has now come in a new way upon those who have believed and received Jesus as Savior and Lord. The prophet Joel spoke of a day when God would pour out His Spirit upon all flesh. As the incarnate God Jesus ascended to sit at the right hand of God the Father, Holy Spirit was sent and changed everything. Just as transformation is available to whosoever repents and receives Jesus, the Third Person of the Trinity has come from heaven to fill the lives of believers. The result is power in witnessing and living the Christian Life. While Jesus was with His disciples He predicted a day when the Father and Himself would come and tabernacle in the midst of these disciples. As a result of this promise fulfilled the church has produced Kingdom Fruit for over two thousand years.

Living Way United Methodist is one of these Kingdom Fruit. Almost daily we are experiencing the signs and wonders promised in God's Word concerning those who believe. Are you tired of the hype? Are you looking for something real... a tangible expression of God. You are invited to the Living Way Church. It takes faith and that is a very misunderstood concept. Faith is a substance. It is tangible spiritual element and without it, no one can please God. Faith blessed the heart of Jesus when He met the Centurion who believed. Faith the scriptures says can move mountains. Everyone has faith, but it matters where we apply it. What do you believe in? Give God a chance this Pentecost to blow out the cobwebs of your life. Consider yourself invited to the party that is church.

When Jesus was tempted in the wilderness following His baptism by John in the Jordan He countered the Devil's word with the Word of God. He stated that although He was hungry, Man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. At Living Way Church we believe the Bible to be the infallible Word of God. Each week we spend time feasting upon God's Word. Everyone is welcome! Remember what Paul said to Timothy... "all scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness..." 2 Tim. 3:16

Living Way Church... A Faithful Community

Have You Heard About Our Mother's Day Out?

Every Tuesday and Thursday between 9 AM and 2:30 PM the Living Way Church is teaming with little people playing before the Lord. We believe that every once in a while Mom's need a break. God commands us to take a Sabbath Rest and for many Mom's there is no chance this will happen in view of the 24/7 demands of children. So we want to bless Mom and give her a chance to take care of herself for a change. We are a safe sanctuary church which means all of our caregivers have been checked out. If you are interested in participating, just call the church! We are here for you! Afterall Jesus said, "let the little children come to me..."
